Deep in the North Georgia mountains there is a retirement community unlike any other. Project Chimps includes a six acre sanctuary for former research Chimpanzees. The animals were used in research experiments until their endangered status made that illegal in 2015. Now they’re enjoying their retirement in the Blue Ridge mountains, and providing opportunities for visitors to learn more about them.This is the story of Project Chimps.
